The Kenya Environmental Health and Public Health Practitioners Union (KEHPHPU) is a duly registered trade union in Kenya mandated to champion, represent, and protect the professional rights, interests and welfare of trained, registered and practicing Public Health Officers, Specialists and Technicians. The Union operates within the framework of:
- The Public Health Officers and Technicians Council Act No. 12 of 2013
- Public Health Act (Cap 242)
- Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (EMCA)
- Climate Change Act
- Food, Drugs and Chemical Substances Act (Cap 254)
- Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
- Labour Relations Act 2007
Any other public health, environmental or health-related legislation KEHPHPU serves as the collective voice of public health practitioners across Kenya.
