Finding Hope After Domestic Abuse
After years of surviving domestic abuse and childhood trauma, Jay faced the difficult reality of raising eight children on her own. With no stable source of income, providing for her family became an everyday struggle.
Through Love INC Kenya, volunteers, mentors, and partner churches walked alongside Jay, connecting her with life skills training, business development support, counseling, and ongoing mentorship. Through the Jogoo Road Zone, she received additional counseling and mentorship that helped rebuild her confidence while equipping her with practical skills for a fresh start. With financial support from volunteers, Jay launched a small business selling handkerchiefs and socks, creating a reliable source of income for her family. Jay has since graduated from the Love INC Kenya training programme and remains connected to a caring community of volunteers, mentors, and partner churches who continue to encourage her as she grows her business, strengthens her faith, and provides for her children.
